The Newport Beach gaming studio, led by twin brothers Stefan and Erwin Gaasbeek, is expanding into mobile entertainment with an iOS-first streaming app focused on original short dramas.
ForYouGaming Inc., a Newport Beach-based gaming and digital entertainment studio, has announced TVTag, a new streaming app built around original short-form dramas created specifically for mobile viewing.
The company plans to begin a private beta of TVTag in December 2026, followed by its first public launch on iOS in early 2027.
TVTag is being developed around a simple idea: instead of adapting traditional television and streaming content for smaller screens, create original entertainment specifically for the way people use their phones.
Series on TVTag will be presented in short, vertical episodes designed for quick viewing while following recurring characters and storylines across multiple episodes.
From gaming to mobile entertainment
TVTag is being developed by twin brothers Stefan Gaasbeek and Erwin Gaasbeek as ForYouGaming expands beyond its gaming roots into mobile-first entertainment.
Stefan Gaasbeek, founder and CEO of ForYouGaming, leads product, technology and business strategy. Erwin Gaasbeek leads creative direction, content development and audience strategy for TVTag.
“People already spend hours consuming entertainment on their phones, but there is still a huge opportunity to build original storytelling specifically for that experience,” said Stefan Gaasbeek. “With TVTag, we are starting with the phone and building everything around it.”
ForYouGaming plans to bring some of the principles it has learned from building and operating online games into TVTag, including rapid experimentation, audience feedback and data-driven product development.
Instead of committing immediately to large traditional productions, TVTag will be able to introduce new concepts, characters and stories, measure how audiences respond and expand the ideas that resonate.
Short dramas made for the phone
TVTag will initially focus on serialized short-form dramas, with individual episodes designed specifically for vertical mobile viewing.
Technology and artificial intelligence will form part of the production workflow behind TVTag, helping the team develop and experiment with new concepts more efficiently while maintaining human creative direction over stories, characters and the overall viewing experience.
“Short-form drama gives us the opportunity to experiment with stories and creative concepts at a completely different speed,” said Erwin Gaasbeek. “You can introduce something new, see how people respond and let the audience help determine what deserves to become bigger.”
The goal is to build a growing catalog of original TVTag productions rather than simply aggregating short-form content from elsewhere.
Private beta coming in December
Development of the TVTag app and its first original productions is currently underway.
A private beta is planned for December 2026, giving a limited group of users early access to the platform ahead of its wider release.
The beta will be used to test the viewing experience, technology and early content as the team prepares TVTag for its public debut.
TVTag is expected to launch publicly on iOS in early 2027.
Additional platforms and new original productions are expected to follow as the service grows.
